Having reread the posted note concerning the merger on the Northeast home page and after talking to Peter DiBenedetto and others about our concerns my wife and I have changed our minds concerning the merger with Haverhill bank. We are now in favor of the merger. My original concern was that we wouldn't be dealing with familiar faces and fees, maybe the possibility of loans being sold so I sought out some answers and have concluded my concerns were baseless. I have since learned that the same folks I have been dealing with for years are remaining with "Haverhill bank", the fees will remain the same and the merger would be seamless. With additional assets and opportunities offered by the merger and familiar people you place a trust in, we now are convinced the merger would be a good idea. It would also create a larger "community bank" for the people of Haverhill to enjoy as we have all enjoyed in the past with Northeast.

My wife Bernadine and I Kevin Gearty are not in favor of the proposed merger. We feel we will lose the personal attention that a Community Credit Union affords us a a loyal customer. With the new bank we would lose all of the good will and friendliness we fervently built with Northeast. We feel we wouldn't get the same atmosphere, customer service we have seen in the many years we have been associated with the Northeast Community Credit Union. It would be a shame to lose another community bank the caliber Northeast is!!!!!!

I find this merger disturbing. Had I wanted to be a memeber of just another Bank I would have. I chose a Credit Union. If this merger goes through then I am off to Merrimack Valley CU or St Jeans.

Rarely in these types of mergers does a "win win" situation occur. However, whereas all the capitol will remain in Haverhill this is one of those "win win" times. I think this merger is an excellent opportunity, not only for the members but also for the community. The merger is a great idea with no downside to anyone or the community. I am totally in favor of the merger!

I would rather see two local community oriented banks combining to become stronger than seeing a large institution with no ties to Haverhill taking over and making one, or both, locally owned institutions just a few more branches in their state wide,or worse, national chain. Since I don't see "standing pat" as an option, I'll be voting for the merger.

I hate it. I am planning on taking my business else where. I'm tired of finding a bank I like and having it merge with another. The new bank always changes everything for the worst and treats me as though they could care less if I stay or go. So I'm going to leave before it happens so I don't have to go through all the BS they're going to cause. This is the 3rd time I've joined a bank or credit union and they merged with someone else! Maybe I'll just start hiding my money under my mattress!

I do no want the Credit Union to Merge. As a past employee and a current member I have always admired the way Peter has run the Credit Union and the Great Member Service we receive as members. I do not want to jeopardize that or the minimum fees that we are charged.
