help send area kids Back to School in style!

HAVERHILL, MASS — Members of the Activities Committee at Northeast Community Credit Union (NCCU) helped hundreds of Greater Haverhill area children get ready for “back to school” this year.

The Committee held a fundraiser specifically to support a request for school supplies initiated by Hands of Hope, a non-profit organization in Haverhill and Lawrence that serves more than 450 low-income families.

Marilyn Mendez, Hands of Hope director, was overwhelmed by the Credit Union’s generosity. “We are shocked at the amount of school supplies NCCU donated! To see the credit union reach out to the needy children in the community with such generosity is incredible.” This is just one of the many ways in which NCCU makes a difference in the community.
