Northeast Community Credit Union Teaches
Financial Life Skills to Sixth- Graders at Consentino School 

HAVERHILL, MASS — Sixth-grade students at Haverhill’s Consentino School are getting a head start on the financial skills they will need for a lifetime, thanks to Northeast Community Credit Union (NCCU) and its employees.

NCCU staff members visit the students’ classroom, teaching them basic money management skills and the importance of understanding financial issues. The Life Skills Financial class was introduced last spring, and will continue with the new school year.

The Credit Union also donated funding for a modern digital document camera for Consentino School teachers. When paired with an LCD projector, the camera captures and projects high resolution images on a large screen, so an entire classroom can view the material and share the same learning experience.
