Northeast Community Credit Union Readies New Location
Credit Union Prepares Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School Branch For September Opening

HAVERHILL, MA — Construction is underway on the latest Northeast Community Credit Union (NCCU) location: a full-service branch at (WRVTHS) in Haverhill. In addition to offering all of its traditional financial services, the credit union will also have an ATM.

The WRVTHS branch will serve as a training facility for Whittier students. Although managed by a NCCU branch manager, the credit union will be staffed by students. Located across from the Poet's Inn Restaurant, the branch is open to the public during school hours.

“We have always believed that financial education is essential to a person's future,” stated Peter DiBenedetto, NCCU's Treasurer and CEO. “We feel fortunate that we are able to participate in the financial education of area high school students, while teaching them a life skill they can translate into employment. Since opening our Haverhill High School branch two years ago, six students have been hired.”

The branch is scheduled to open in mid-late September.
