On October 25th, NCCU celebrated an event that was more than two years in the making: the Grand Opening of its Haverhill High School Branch. City, state and school officials joined NCCU’s Board of Directors in a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The branch, which serves the students, staff and teachers at the school, also provides on-site training for those high school students that are enrolled in the School to Work class. The branch will be staffed by high school students and branch manager Shannon Pettis. NCCU offers its full suite of financial services at the Haverhill High School branch, including an ATM.

The HHS branch is located across from the library, in the space previously occupied by the school store. The store is located adjacent to the credit union.

The building of the branch is largely attributed to the extensive time and effort of Dr. Theodore A. Souliotis and Chris Papaefthemiou, both members of NCCU’s Board of Directors.
